Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Some 4.1 million children in the UK live in poverty.
That’s 4.1 million children going to bed hungry, cold or too embarrassed to invite their mates round. 4.1 million children who’s life choices are limited through no choice of their own.
To help raise money for the Child Poverty Action Group, on April 13th 2019 Danny Martin and Dan Hollis are setting off from St Bees on the West coast to Robin Hoods Bay on the East, a total of 192 miles. At various points along the way they’re also being joined by Tim Stopforth and Ben Jones. Typically it is advised that this trip be completed over 12 to 14 days, with 12 recommended for ‘only fit and experienced walkers.’ Taking that into account we’ve decided to do it in 9, borne from an over-confidence brought on by a combination of hubris and beer at the planning stage and the fact that we’ve all been able to walk from about 1 year old so are most definitely ‘experienced walkers’ in some sense.
Please, if you can, drop us a few quid; the price of a pint, the cost of a coffee. Whatever you can afford. Every penny will go to the CPAG and help give a child a better future.
Thank you.
