Story

My wife, Annette, made me promise that when I retired we would do the Coast to Coast walk together. Sadly, she died from breast cancer in January this year. A couple of weeks before she died she made me promise that I would complete the Coast to Coast in her memory and raise some money for the Breast Unit at Ipswich Hospital and St Elizabeth Hospice*, whose teams cared for her during her illness. So from 18th June to 1st July this year I will be walking the 191 miles of the Coast to Coast path, with some  friends and family who will be joining me for part of the way. Please give generously in memory of an extraordinary person who is loved and missed, and was an inspiration to so many.  Nick

*Half of all donations will be donated to St. Elizabeth Hospice as they also helped care for Annette during her illness. Ipswich Hospital Charity will transfer half of the total to St. Elizabeth when this page closes.

The Ipswich Hospital Charity helps provide equipment, refurbishments and support to staff and patients at Ipswich Hospital above and beyond what the NHS can provide. You can help make a difference to patients, staff and relatives at our local hospital.
