COCO’s purpose is to provide education to create the opportunity for children to break the cycle of poverty. We are currently working with communities in remote areas of Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Our vision is a world where every child, everywhere has access to quality education.

Story

A note from COCO:
Congratulations to our AMAZING team of Fellside parents and supporters who completed the Coast to Coast RUN in a time of 28 hours this weekend. The team ran non-stop in a relay format, through the night and all in support of COCO. We hope you enjoy these photos and a huge thank you must go to Ged Foster, Caroline Acaster, John Baines, Kirsty Owen, Mark Puggmire, Darryl Warden, Gary Haley, Richard Barras, Simon Arbon and Steve Caithness!

As a group of nine parents whose children have a wonderful education at Fellside Primary in Whickham, we are working to raise funds to support our twinned school; Londoto Primary in Tanzinia, so that Children in this remote part of Africa have the foundations for a brighter future. We are running 140 miles coast to coast across England in 30 hours in a bid to secure your support.

Children from both schools have written, shared pictures and feel a real and meaningful bond. The Children, Staff and parents at Fellside have already raised funds to help build classrooms and together we are now determined to raise money to build accommodation to ensure teachers can live in this remote area and help the children live and flourish.

To make this happen we are partners with the wonderful charity COCO who work with children living in dreadful poverty in the developing world by supporting closely monitored education and healthcare initiatives that make a big difference to their lives.
