CBRE take on Lake District 24 Challenge for Action for Children · 31 August 2018

We protect and support children and young people, providing practical and emotional care and support. We ensure their voices are heard, and campaign to bring lasting improvements to their lives. Our vision is that every child and young person has a safe and happy childhood, and the foundations they need to thrive.

Story

At the end of August, a team of 16 intrepid explorers from CBRE will be undertaking the Lake District 24 Peaks Challenge - a trek of 50km over the 24 highest peaks in the Lake District in just 24 hours. This will involve 4,250m of ascent/descent and thoroughly deserves its reputation as ‘by far the hardest Lake District challenge’.

The team is raising funds for Action for Children, CBRE’s UK charity partner for 2018/19, who help disadvantaged children across the UK through fostering or adoption, by intervening early to stop neglect and abuse, influencing policy and being an advocate for change. Their 7,000 staff and volunteers operate over 600 services, improving the lives of 370,000 children, teenagers, parents and carers every year.

The Challenge Team:

Dominic Barham, Emily Bird, Neil Blake, Caroline Booth, David Brigden, Madelaine Carey, Adrian Hanley, Paul Ireland, James Keenan, Holly Kiely, Tom Riddols, Jo Roberts, Aron Samra, Anna Tweed, Hannah Wood and Charlotte Woodhouse.
