Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My brother was recently diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes meaning his body doesn't produce insulin as it should do (it is not linked to diet). It was a shock diagnosis and he has had to make some big changes in his life. That being said, he's managing it well and remains positive!
Diabetes is a well researched condition and there is progress being made all the time. However, as with everything, more money is needed to support advances in finding a cure and better management strategies for this condition.
For this reason I am teaming up with my Mother to complete this challenge, raise awareness and make some money for DiabetesUK. DiabetesUK is a charity "that cares for, connects with and campaigns on behalf of every person affected by or at risk of diabetes." It is "one of the largest funders of diabetes research in the UK."
The challenge involves completing a 10 mile walk across 13 different bridges in London. Please support me, my mother, my brother and DiabetesUK by donating today!
