Flora London Marathon 2007 · 22 April 2007 ·
Well it was the hottest London Marathon on record and certainly not the kind of day to be running 26 miles around London, let alone wearing full cricket whites padded up with heavy bat and gloves. Yet the CHASE Cricket Runners all finished and truly earnt every pound of your sponsorship.
For those that haven't yet sponsored, it is still not too late to do so and all money goes straight into the Fund. Also if you haven't seen the on Adam Hollioake in the Sunday Times, you can view that here. sethttp://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/columnists/paul_kimmage/article1687344
Thank you to all those who have sponsored or supported our Big Blister fundraising party. Donations are still coming in so a full amount of how much has been raised will be available in the next few weeks.
As Manager of the Fund a massive thank you to all the CHASE Cricket Runners, who gave up their time and put in considerable efforts to support the Fund. A very special thank you going out to John and Adam Hollioake who returned from Australia to run.
The CHASE Ben Hollioake Fund was set up after the death of England and Surrey cricketer Ben Hollioake. In association with CHASE hospice care for children the Fund is raising money to support life-limited children and their families. These are children who are not expected to live past the age of 19.
It would be great if you could support the CHASE cricket runners team by sponsoring us. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. CHASE Hospice Care for Children will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
