Story

Dear All

We are the Counter-Improvised Explosive Device Task Force (C-IED TF) serving in Afghanistan on Operation Herrick 11.  Throughout our six month tour (October 09 - March 09) we are planning on participating in and running a number of charity events to raise money for the Royal British Legion.  The charity is close to our hearts because they look after the welfare of serving and ex-service personnel and their families.  Our target is to raise £15,000 by the time we return from the tour so please help us out and give generously!!

The First Event

We have now finished the marathon and all of the runners are just about recovered!  For interest our finishing times were;

Gaz Bateman 3h25, Tom Fisher 3h26, Phil Smithson 3h42, Bruce Jackson 4h03, Tom Sherratt 4h10, Billy Lee 4h20, Mike B'hara 4h28, Bradley Clark 4h30.  It was a fantastic day and thank you so mch to all those who sponsored us.

We appreciate your help and support in our cause.

Many Thanks from all of us here in Afghanistan,

The Counter-IED Task Force.
