HELLO! Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for my entry in the Mazda London Triathlon 2010!

Over the past year I have trained hard (and even brought a pink triathlon bike!) to improve my triathlon ability and performance on Army training weekends and several military and civilian events.  I have secured a place in the 2010 Mazda London Triathlon which takes place over the weekend of 7th and 8th August at the Excel Centre, London.  I aim to perform to my best, with the view of raising a minimum figure of £500 for The Royal British Legion before August. 

This is a charity that in light of the current operational tempo and climate should certainly not be forgotten.  The work is invaluable, and means a great deal to a host of Army, Forces and ex-Forces personnel, friends and family.  I am keen to promote this cause as much as possible, before I deploy for 6 months from September this year.  

The London Triathlon is a prestigious event.  The Olympic Distance event consists of a 1.5km swim in Open Water in the London Docklands, followed by a 40km bike, and 10km run.  For any more information, the event is fully detailed on the official website: www.thelondontriathlon.co.uk.

RACING UPDATE!

I have competed in a few triathlons so far this summer - I was pleased to come 1st female in The Yorkshireman Triathlon in the river Humber near Hull, with a time of 2:30:00 and also coming 4th Army female at the Army Champs in Northampton.  I am looking forward to the Full Boar Triathlon Sun 18 Jul  followed by the InterServices at Ellsmere on Wed 21 Jul.  I will keep the page updated!
