Story

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am thrilled to be running the London Marathon 2010 for Parkinson's Disease Society.

For those who don't know, my father-in-law, Sir David Jones, was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 1982.  Despite this he has had a hugely successful career in retail and raised considerable funds for Parkinson's research.  As a founder and trustee of The Healing Foundation and The Cure Parkinson's Trust, Sir David has pledged to do as much as possible to find a cure for this disease.  He is an inspiration to me and everyone who meets him.  He has a heart of gold and has done so much to help so many people.  I would like to do my bit and raise as much money as possible for such a worthy cause.  I am under no illusion that the 26.2 miles endurance will be a massive physical challenge, but nothing compared to what many Parkinson's sufferers have to endure on a daily basis.  Any donation would be greatly appreciated.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you so much.

Best wishes,

Clare

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
