48 HOUR ROW-A-THON · 6 July 2016

We are an international organisation working to build a prosperous rural Africa. We help farmers to increase their harvests, build their incomes and sustain natural resources, partnering with governments and the private sector to find effective ways to fight poverty.

Story

Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page!

We have just finished our 48-hour Sponsored Row and we really need your help to get to our target. We rowed on a rowing machine non-stop outside the school since 9:10 on Tuesday morning all the way through to the same time on Thursday morning!

Sleeping in school, we continued to row through the night and rowed a total of 620km - the distance between London and Dortmund, Germany. There have been a few celebrity rowing sessions, including the likes of Mr Emerson, Mr McBroom and even an Olympic rower and a particularly notable appearance from Mr Fernandes who dressed up as Gary the Goat!

We are doing all this in aid of this year's charity, FARM AFRICA, which teaches poverty-threatened farmers simple, inexpensive techniques and provides key initial supplies to help them reduce hunger and escape poverty, in the end sustaining themselves, their communities and their continent. We are hoping to get as close as possible to the £50k mark this year! Please keep the donations flooding in!
