Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. CPD Social are raising money for Awamu, in memory of Nansamba Kyegombe. Any donations are massively appreciated.

L’Oréal Tribute to Nansamba Kyegombe:

Nansamba joined L’Oréal in September 2015 and had an impressive career within the Commercial team as Customer Business Director - AS Watsons, before being promoted to Business Development Director, and joining the CPD ManCom in early 2018.

Nansamba was a fantastic member of the CPD ManCom, and her brilliant leadership went way beyond her own team, being an inspiration not only to her peers, but also the wider CPD teams.

She had incredible energy, always full of positivity, and was warm and generous with her time; she was a truly unique personality, and an amazingly strong woman.

Nansamba, we will miss you immensely.

AWAMU

Awamu’s purpose is to ensure children in the slums of Kampala, Uganda, gain education & skills that are vital to their future. Many children we work with are HIV positive. Their guardians, often elderly, ill & poor, are also in need of support, as the wellbeing of children in their care is inextricably linked to theirs. We know that children do best when they are supported & cared for in their own communities, among extended families, friends, & neighbours so we also help those that care for them to gain new skills & the confidence to increase their income, regain control of income.
