All proceeds raised by events on this day are being donated to the critical care unit at Southend University Hospital.

This charity has been chosen by Tracyann Grimmett, a member of the Group Finance team. In her own words, Tracyann says:

"The Critical Care Unit at Southend Hospital is very close to my heart as this is where my dear cousin was treated prior to her passing. Sadly my beautiful cousin could not be saved however the Critical Care staff made every attempt. The unit not only cared for my late cousin but also gave support to every family member and friend who visited. I, on behalf of my family, am gratefully thankful that although a precious life was lost, we were given the chance of saying our goodbyes due to the fantastic work performed by the Critical Care team."

The Group charity committee is proud to support this cause and will be matching any finds we can raise through this site and our activites on the day.

The critical care unit will be using any proceeds to put towards the purchase of 2 ETC02 microsteam life support pods.

Head office staff will be holding a hawaiian themed coffee morning with competitons, cakes, a book sale and of course hawaiian fancy dress and decorations! If you are passing Group Head office that day you are invited to drop in and join us.
