Cailean's 2016 Great North Run

Great North Run 2016 · 11 September 2016 ·
Its 7.45am on a cold January morning in 2016 and i am coughing up blood at the side of the road in Binfield. I had been running for just 11 minutes and my chest felt like it was going to cave in on itself. New Years Resolutions usually fall of me but there was a determination around this one.
Cut to me six months later, i have lost 20lbs (15lbs to go!), i have run 4 10km races, including the infamous, The Hurt, and i am now stretching up for my very first half marathon - the Great North Run.
Having spent two years as a Samaritan volunteer right at the beginning of my career, i know first hand the great work they do. It truly made me a better listener and allowed me to cope with pressure far better than before. I truly treasured that time and it was easy to choose my charity for the GNR2016.
Appreciate any donations you can provide to this cause and i deeply value your support. Thank you.
