Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Since birth, I have suffered from the complex and unforgiving condition of spastic cerebral palsy, This results in stiff muscles which can make movement painful, difficult or even impossible. Over the last 18 years I have attended physiotherapy sessions to help me get to the place I am now where I feel confident enough to be able to run and do other activities that I was simply unable to do before. By participating in this event I hope to raise money for people with cerebral palsy who are not as privileged as me in having the opportunity to run and the freedom that I now enjoy.
I am taking part in the Running Grand Prix Half Marathon at Bedford Autodrome on Sunday 31st March and would really appreciate your support in a race that represents a significant challenge for me and comes at the end of many months and years of sheer hard work and determination not to be limited by my condition.
I have chosen to support Cerebral Palsy Sport. This is the country’s leading national disability sports charity supporting people with cerebral palsy to reach their sporting potential.
I hope to inspire people with cerebral palsy, increase awareness of the condition and raise money for Cerebral Palsy Sport.
I would like to thank Grendon CE Primary School for their support in tackling this challenge.
One day I hope to make the start line for the London Marathon.
