Brentwood 3 mile fun run 2018 · 18 March 2018

Partnering with parents, we support families whose children have additional needs or disabilities by providing compassion, guidance and hope. SNAP helps families across Essex with children 0 – 25 years, with any additional need and disability.

Story

Myself and Mia are running the Brentwood fun run on March 18th to help raise money for SNAP.
As some of you are aware our little brother Jack who is 8, has autism and before his diagnosis this was an area we knew nothing about. SNAP welcomed us with open arms five years ago and have provided my brother and family with much needed support whatever the time or place. Jack has benefitted from use of sensory equipment and a place he can be himself which he looks forward to going to every week. Our parents have benefitted from guidance regarding school, behaviour management and people to talk to. As siblings, we have benefitted from meeting other people who have a sibling with special needs, something which we were never aware of if it hadn’t have been for SNAP.
We see SNAP as a family and are very lucky to be part of it. It would be wonderful if we could contribute to their amazing services because we know how vital they truly are in supporting families throughout Essex.
