Ella will be running 1.01 miles per day, starting 25 April and ending 20 May, to achieve the total marathon distance of 26.2 miles. The current lockdown has created a difficult situation for most of us, and sadly has created an unprecedented and growing demand for support for families suffering domestic abuse. Last year, UK police forces received over half a million calls regarding domestic abuse, and that number is set to increase exponentially.

Border Women's Aid is a local charity supporting women and families to return to the kind of safe and secure life that the rest of us take for granted.

Please give a donation to help support families and enable those who need it to have a safe refuge and/or the support they need at this difficult time. I realise it is a time when many are not best financially placed to make a donation, but if you are able to make a donation, however small, it would be gratefully received.
