Story
Having an attack of this sort, so close to home has really shaken me, seeing an attack happen on the news in a city far away (Even as close a London) doesn't feel real. Everyone in every attack has my sympathy, but walking past the police cordons on Tuesday morning drove home how horrific these attacks can be.
I want to do something to help the families of the victims and the survivors of the horrific attack, and an opportunity to both raise money and show my solidarity with the rest of Manchester has presented itself.
I and 3 of my friends (And hundreds of other people in Manchester) are going to get a tattoo of the Manchester Worker Bee.
This in itself is a fantastic thing to do, but for me it holds extra worry. I have an intense phobia of needles. So a tattoo has always been something I have never wanted or ever thought I'd have. But the need to do something (even something as small as this) has driven me to book a slot in a tattoo studio. I'll be going at 1pm on Sunday to have this done, so I'll be able to show you all once Its finished!
The money raised will be used by the Red Cross to help families
who are in need, including those who are faced with funeral costs and
individuals who may have suffered life limiting injuries.
