ASICS Greater Manchester Marathon 2018 · 8 April 2018 ·

The MPS Society provides specialist support to children, adults and families in the UK who are affected by MPS, Fabry and related lysosomal storage diseases and we fund research into treatment and therapies. These diseases are rare, genetic, life-limiting conditions with no cure.

Story

I am running the Manchester marathon on the 8th April 2018 because I want to raise money for The Society For Mucopolysaccharide Diseases (The MPS Society). I am a primary school teacher in the Forest of Dean and last year I had a young boy in my class who suffers with MPS. I am running this race because I want to help him by raising as much money as possible to improve the MPS society which will then help improve his life. The young boy who was in my class is an amazing character, a brilliant mathematician and has a fantastic sense of humour. I hope any money raised will go towards helping him and others who suffer with MPS.
