Prisoners Education Trust is a national charity aiming to extend and enrich the educational opportunities available to prisoners, providing them with a chance to build a better and more constructive future for themselves, their family and their community.

Story

Our mum Helen, and much loved wife of Cavan, sadly died on 1st February 2021. After studying at the Royal College of Music, Helen trained and qualified as a school teacher. She was both a talented artist and a gifted musician and remarkably, notwithstanding her speech and physical limitations following a devastating stroke in 1983, Helen was able to continue pursuing her artistic and musical interests right up until the end of her life.

The Prisoners' Education Trust is a charity providing support for prisoners in England and Wales, enabling access to education via distance learning courses in subjects and at levels not normally available in prisons. PET was a charity close to Helen's heart and her family would like to invite friends to consider making a donation to this very worthwhile cause, in her memory.
