Story

We’ve raised a lot of cash over the last few years with the sports tournament and this year we are going to try and hit a target for the Merton Homelessness Project. Each year, they spend around £1,000 on sleeping bags for rough sleepers in the winter – some people may note that a few of these rough sleepers end up in St Georges Car Park, directly next to Capsticks’ building, because it offers cover
from the elements and a degree of security compared to a doorway.

Hopefully, we can do our small bit to help.

About the charity

We help people in and around the London Borough of Merton who are homeless or rough sleepers. They can have a shower and shave, wash their clothes, have two good meals, and access the internet. Our team of staff and volunteers offers advice and help with job searches and benefit applications.
