Story
This year Abortion Rights Cardiff have decided to raise money to support bpas’s amazing work in offering advice and treatment to the women not just of Cardiff and the Vale but across the UK. I am the secretary of Abortion Rights Cardiff and our target is to raise one pound for each hour that ‘40 Days for Life’ plan to be present on the streets of Cardiff. We believe that #CardiffTrustsWomen to make their own decisions free of intimidation.
Here in Cardiff, the group called ‘40 Days for Life’ choose to spend the course of Lent harassing our local bpas clinic. This behaviour is extremely upsetting for clients and staff at the clinic, as well as the many women forced to share pavement space with their aggressive action. Since 2013, they have variously been observed approaching women entering or leaving the clinic, handing out misleading and inaccurate material and sharing offensive messsges through their banners and songs.
We know that the vast majority of the public who encounter them believe such actions are wrong and that women accessing healthcare should not face harassment.

More about bpas:- 50 years ago the Abortion Act 1967 was passed giving British women access to safe legal abortion, yet today we still face persistent attempts to chip away at women's reproductive rights, to limit women's options and choices.bpas fight every day to provide women with safe, accessible abortion services, and campaign to ensure women can make their own decisions about their own pregnancies. But we need your help to keep doing this.Your money will be supporting our campaign work and helping women access the care they need.Thank you
