The Gateshead Foodbank is something very close to me. After getting back from traveling I found out my family had began looking into opening a Foodbank in Gateshead. With no job, I supported my Gran & Grandad, along with a few volunteers, in warehouse. My Mam has put so much work into developing this foodbank and it is amazing, yet upsetting, to see how much it has grown since late 2012.

The need for Foodbanks throughout the country had been well documented and although they will always need food, the money raised will go a long way to help support the day to day running of the foodbank.
