New Years Day Parade. London · 1 January 2013

Every day 250 people in the UK start losing their sight. With your help, we can be there when people need us most, support independent living, create an inclusive society and prevent avoidable sight loss. Every pound you raise will help create a future where sight loss is no longer a barrier.

Story

Hello There, I'm organising an entry in the New Year’s Day parade London.

The Heroes for Charity. Costume groups and costumed characters from all around the U.K have joined together to make one great entry.

We have three main sections in the parade Line up. Doctor Who, Star Wars and Movie cars with related characters.

We also have a variety of costumed characters from T.V and Film walking the barriers throughout the parade.

We are raising for The Royal institute of Blind people, a charity I personally feel very strongly about. In 2011 we raised £1500 for Great Ormond street hospital. hoping to smash that total this year!

But we need your help to do so, so please donate as much or as little as you can. Watch us live on T.V or please come up and cheer us on! Join our facebook page to keep up to date with the character list and pictures https://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=hp#!/groups/330839887013692/?fref=ts

Special Thanks to Steven Wickendan helping to organise again with me.

Jonathan Sands from the London Film Museum for sponsoring our entry.

Plus everyone else who has pulled together to help, couldn’t of done it without you

And ofcourse each and every volunteer taking part with us

Thanks

Carl Hopcroft
