Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.
This will be my first marathon. I was lucky enough to get a place in the London Marathon ballot this year and, when it was postponed to 4th October, I kept my training going throughout the summer. When the announcement came that the marathon would be taking place as a virtual event, I signed up to run the 26.2 miles at Dorney Lake. It's four x 6.5 mile laps around the lake - and 9 miles further than I have ever run on a single day before.
I'm raising money for Sparkle (Malawi) which is the charity that my school is supporting this year. The period of lockdown and current COVID restrictions have meant that fund raising events have been missing from our school calendar, and so I hope that this might be one way to help support a brilliant cause. Sparkle's mission is to improve the life chances of vulnerable children in Malawi through delivering food, health care, education and community programmes. Your donation will help us help them to make a real difference to children's lives.
Thank you!
