Story
MedEquip4kids are a Manchester based charity who work to provide medical equipment for babies and children; life-saving equipment that would not otherwise be available through limited NHS resources
They believe every child should have access to the best medical care when they need it most, and provide equipment such as Neo natal monitors, incubators, and defibrillators to help care for the most vulnerable children. In addition, they will also provide play facilities and improved environments to calm and distract children from their illness or resources including books, toys and games to improve children’s mental health.
We've seen first hand the difference that MedEquip4kids can make. When our first son Leo was born in December 2015, his lungs collapsed due to complications during birth. He needed urgent life-saving treatment and was taken to the neo natal intensive care unit at Royal Bolton Hospital, where equipment provided by MedEquip4kids saved his life. Through further illnesses in his first 18 months he spent time in back in Bolton Hospital, and also at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital where other resources made his stay much more comfortable.
The facilities that MedEquip4Kids provided, alongside the excellent medical care in both hospitals, is the reason he has been able to grow in to the healthy (and slightly crazy) 6 year old boy he is today
