Running for recovery

London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
During the last year of school, we lost two special people within weeks of each other to meningitis aged 15. It devestates families and communities in its sudden ruthlessness.
In 2020 it will be 25 years since school and I will be 40.
I'm running for recovery from meningitis primarily but also, recovery from mental health, from addiction, from whatever trauma or challenge you face in life. I'm running to challenge stigma about disability and encourage dialogue. I'm running because life is tough, but we can and do recover.
I'm running to remember, in my own small way two beautiful friends we've lost on the journey. ♥️🙏

This is my first fundraising thing but hopefully not the last, and excited to be running the London Marathon in 2020 as well as a succession of other races leading up to the big one. 🙏
