A few years ago my mum was diagnosed with a craniopharyngioma at the base of her brain which was taking away her eye sight. Fortunately after extensive surgery and lots of radiotherapy the tumour is now shrinking but my mum still lost nearly 80% of her sight and suffers complications from the surgery. My aim is to raise money so that more research can be done to develop new ways to diagnose and treat people in this and in worse situations.
