Story

As many of you know, my lovely Mum passed away 4 years ago following being diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. She fought her hardest and always with a smile on her face however after 6 months of intense chemotherapy she could no longer fight anymore.

From day 1 we knew the odds of survival weren’t on our side but the positivity and support from both friends and health care professionals kept us strong and got mum through the darkest of days until the end.

Taking part in the great north run allows me to raise money for such an important charity close to my heart and gives me the chance to say thank you for everything the Leeds haematology wards did for my dear Mum.

I will be so very grateful for all your sponsors and promise to put my all into training for the great north run and hope to raise as much as I can for this amazing charity.

Thank you for reading
