In June 2021, I will be embarking upon a trek across the West Highland Way accompanied by a group of Lloyds Banking Colleagues. Every colleague has pledged to raise £4000 and all funds raised will go towards Mental Health UK and in particular their project Bloom.

Did you know, that most long term mental health problems begin in adolescence and that 75% of these illnesses start before a person is 18!?

Bloom is a UK-wide project which supports young people helping them develop greater mental health resilience! It is delivered throughout schools and colleges and equips young people with the tools and knowledge to maintain their mental health through life’s transitions, both now and in the future!

It breaks my heart, to think that there are people out there feeling like they are alone and that things will not get better. I am going to be completing this challenge for them, to help show them that there is light at the end of the tunnel and together we can raise awareness and help.

For anyone who knows me, you will know that this is the biggest challenge I have ever done!  I have never done anything like this before!

I am nervous, excited and privileged that I have been given this opportunity.
