As we celebrate some significant birthdays at Andrew Carnegie's Scottish home, Skibo Castle, we invite our friends to donate to Reading Spots - a charity of which we are confident that the great philanthropist Carnegie, who established hundreds of libraries around the world, would have approved.  Please help us to continue Carnegie's legacy of promoting education, literacy and the love of reading books, causes which have always been dear to our hearts.  Your gift, whether it be items to send to Ghana (please look at the list of what is welcomed on the Reading Spots website) or a financial contribution, will be hugely appreciated.

Reading Spots aims to support the construction of community libraries in IT centres in remote areas of Ghana. These libraries are self-sufficient and managed by Ghanaians and will support additional functions such as offering free adult literacy sessions and poetry reading competitions - fundamentally offering a community space focused on education.
