Hi Everyone

I applied and was accepted for this year's Manchester BUPA 10K run (6.25 miles) which takes place on Sunday the 20th of May. It is the largest 10K in the country with usually about 35,000 runners taking part and will be televised.

I haven't done much training, due to not being well for much of this year, and so it is a last minute decision to attempt the course, which I expect instead of running I will jog\walk.

I have run the race every year since 2006, except last year when I was recovering from a foot operation, and always for a charity. See the picture for the state of my right foot after the operation.

This year my chosen charity is Cancer Research and I hope that you feel that you can make a donation. Cancer touches so many lives and I'd like to think that we will make a difference to all those who have been diagnosed not only now but in the future.

Any sum will be much appreciated but I fully understand if you feel unable to and I will not be offended.
