I have always wanted to run the London Marathon and I've tried to get a place for the last 7 years, but have been unsuccessful so when the opportunity came to run for Snowdrop I was delighted.

They are a unique local children's charity based in Sussex providing nursing care at home, for children who have a life-threatening or terminal illness. They also provide financial and emotional support for their families.

As most of you know this is my first marathon and I am not a marathon runner! so this will be a huge challenge, not only physically but also mentally. I have had a few injuries in the past so for me, I feel my biggest challenge will be fitting in the training around playing football and trying to stay injury free!

Running the marathon for such a worthy charity will defiantly help me get through the hard 26.2miles but I will also need as much support as possible!

I will be entering a few running events along the way to help with the training so watch this space!
