St Albans Half Marathon and Fun Run 2011 · 12 June 2011 ·

We fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.

Story

After six years of fighting bowel cancer, Kevin Bolam lost his battle.  One of his greatest hobbies in life was running, so many of us have taken up the challenge of running the St Albans Half Marathon, some are walking it, some are doing the fun run and also the kids are doing the fun run, in his memory.

Some of the people running are doing this for the first time, some are doing it for the only time (i suspect) it is all in a good cause!!  The team is:

Kevin left many legacies, his love of life, his ability to laugh at himself, his good taste, but also bowel cancer, this is a legacy too!  Help us to raise awareness, money (to help prevent it) and keep his battle going!
