Story
Dear all,
We would love you to join us on the Memory Walk taking place in Battersea Park on Sunday 18th September.
As you know our mother sadly passed away on 20th June this year and although we were already signed up to do the walk it now holds even more significance having seen our mother suffer and ultimately lose her battle with dementia. We therefore thought it would be nice to do the walk with you our friends.
If you are able to join us we would like to ask that you make a donation to the website for £20. Alzheimer’s Society unlike Race for Life do not charge anyone to register to join the walk and therefore we thought that if all of you who are walking with us put £20 towards the “Peggy Copeland Tribute Fund” we can raise much needed cash for such a good cause. Also if you wish to ask your own friends to sponsor you and therefore raise even more money for such a good cause let them know the details of our JustGiving page and they can donate also.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
The walk will commence at 11.00am but registration takes place from 9.30. As we have registered as a Group this should be pretty straight forward but if everyone could aim to get to Battersea by 10.15 that would be great.
The walk itself is 5 miles starting in the park and walking along the Chelsea embankment. Full details are on the Alzheimer's Society website
If you are able to join us please let us know by no later than 4th September.
We look forward to seeing you all on the 18th September and thank you all so much for your support.
Lots of Love Caroline and Jackie xx
