Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation's research and I'd be so grateful for your support as I need to raise £400 to make this skydive possible on 20th May 2017.

In my work as a funeral celebrant I have had to help so many families through the shock and grief of losing someone to heart disease. Sometimes the condition is detected and the deterioration is gradual. But more often than not the heart disease has gone undetected and their loved one very suddenly collapses and dies.

That kind of bereavement is horrendous and so very hard to accept. So because of the work The BHF does, I felt I wanted to do something to challenge myself whilst helping future families at the same time to hopefully avoid such terrible pain.

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
