The challenge of a lifetime awaits our Trekkers as they embark on the 60+ km Trek across the Arctic Circle in support of families affected by childhood cancers.

Story

This is very much a personal and emotional challenge for me in support of Nerys, my dearest friend and work colleague.

Nerys son,  Fynle's was  diagnosed with a Medulloblastoma Brain Tumour in May 2019 at the young age of 7.  The Joshua Tree were there at a time in need and provided immense support to Nerys’s family during months and YEARS spent at Alder Hey.  The support, counselling & wellbeing mechanisms are truly incredible! In total admiration of Nerys who is one incredible lady and now a Trustee of The Joshua Tree , I pledge to give  every single bit of strength and courage I have to complete this challenge so that all families suffering from childhood cancer can receive the support they desperately need!

The Joshua Tree provide bespoke programmes of support to improve the emotional well-being and mental health of all immediate and extended family members who are affected by childhood cancers, across North-West England and North Wales, for as long as they need it. In taking on the challenge of a lifetime it will help The Joshua Tree continue the support to families affected by childhood cancers.
