Stephanie Moore MBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund in partnership with Cancer Research UK, following the death of her husband, Bobby Moore, from bowel cancer. The Bobby Moore Fund is now a leader in the fight against bowel cancer, funding research that’s helping more people to survive than ever before.

Story

Many people have asked when they come to see me 'what can we bring?' I don't really need anything. I'm not a big flower fan though I have had some beautiful ones so far, my diet has now changed so drastically so I can't eat grapes, I am still trying to lose weight so please no chocolates. So what's left? I have asked people to make a dish for the two men in my life as they both love their food but can't cook so this saves me cooking for them and my poor mum being run ragged! So you can cook them your speciality dish! But I also wanted to give something back and plan to set myself a sporting challenge when I'm well again. So to choose a charity first, The Bobby Moore Fund makes sense as they raise awareness of bowel cancer and we are all massive football fans. I was also treated at Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport at The Bobby Moore Unit, the best in the country for bowel surgery and they treated me amazingly. So instead of buying me flowers please donate to my fund raising page whilst I think about what challenge I can do.
