I'm walking at Shine London in the fight against bowel cancer

Shine London in the fight against bowel cancer · 29 September 2012 ·
It has been a couple of years since I last raised money for charity so I’m doing it again, for another excellent cause – Cancer Research. I’ve specifically chosen to donate towards research into bowel cancer - as most of you know my step-dad Jon died of bowel cancer in 2001 at the horrendously young age of 44.
I’m not asking for your money without doing something to earn it – along with my friends Nicki and Hayley I am doing the Shine London Walking Marathon. On 29 September we will walk overnight for 26 miles (that’s 42 kilometres) – more miles than I have ever walked in one go before! As well as in Jon’s memory, we’ll be walking in memory of Nicki’s Mum, Diana, who died too young two years ago from pancreatic cancer.
If you can donate, then thank you very, very much. If not, then absolutely fine too of course, please just think of me on the night and wish my poor feet well! J
