Story

As many of you know, I took up running during lockdown, raising money for several charities/organisations which meant something personal to me. The past couple of years I have faced some personal challenges, but exercise has been my main source of escapism. I've come to realise how much it has benefitted me, not just physically but mentally too. At the beginning of the year, I made a list of things I wanted to accomplish in 2022, one being to complete my very first half marathon. So here I am, doing exactly that...

I am privileged enough to work in a school with colleagues that really do feel like my work family. Like many schools in the UK, Passmores serves a challenging and deprived community, and more so than ever these communities are facing an incredibly tough journey ahead in terms of living costs, rebuilding bereaved families, and recovering financially and emotionally from the impact of COVID.

'No Child Without' is a registered charity, established in June 2013, designed to help local, young people from disadvantaged backgrounds by providing them with financial help so that they can fulfil their ambitions and access opportunities that would otherwise not be available to them. The charity can be used in many ways to help young people, examples of this being; purchasing equipment, clothing, helping to finance school trips and extra- curricular activities.

The Royal Park's Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 9th October. If you're in London, come and support...it would be great to see you there!
