Virgin London Marathon 2013 · 21 April 2013 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The Stroke Association offered tremendous support to Mum after her stroke, helping with her mental and physical rehabilitation.  We would like to give something back.

Each year around 120,000 people have their first stroke, around 30,000 have a recurrent stroke.  Stroke is the largest cause of disability in the UK and the 3rd most common cause of death.  Around 1m people in the UK are living with the effects of a stroke.  With your help we can make a difference to these people's lives.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate whatever amount you can afford.

Thank you,

Carrie & Sean
