We’re the world’s leading independent conservation organisation. And we’re building a future where people and nature thrive together. That’s why we’re passionate about sharing the planet’s resources more sustainably, tackling climate change and protecting endangered wildlife.

Story

I am attempting to swim from Robben Island to mainland Cape Town, South Africa. I will be given a one-way ferry ticket to the infamous Island where the late Nelson Mandela was held for an astonishing 18 years! The race itself is 7.5km but with the ever-changing swells, the cold water and the lurking creatures of the deep to contend with, this challenge will be no mean feat!

I have decided to swim this event for charity and I am hoping to raise as much money as possible for WWF, the world’s leading independent conservation organisation whose mission it is to create a world where people and wildlife can thrive together. I would be extremely grateful for any contribution you can make to this marvellous charity.

A huge thank you in advance to anyone who donates.
