Story

Thanks for coming along and taking a peek at our challenge. We're a team of people that want to raise some money for two important charities and lose a bit of collective podge in the meantime. From the 1st of November until the 7th of March we'll be lean, mean, fat fighting machines...

The 'no more floor' campaign was started by two local Mums despairing over having to change their disabled children on dirty floors due to a lack of hoist facilities in Warwickshire. These strong ladies have managed to get a space allocated for a facility but need the local community to pull together and help them raise the funds for the equipment so desperately needed.

There are hundreds of families who on a daily basis need to be hoisted from their wheelchairs or need a bigger space in order to use the toilet.
Regular disabled toilets are not big enough for a wheelchair and parents and carers. In addition, most do not have a changing bench or a hoist. Children and adults in this day and age should not have to have their incontinence pads or nappies changed on a dirty toilet floor but should be allowed the dignity of a proper changing facility. Installing something as simple as a changing bed or bench and an electric hoist to lift the user is life changing and more dignified for the user. Please donate generously #lifechangers

Your fat fighting crew for this fundraising challenge are:

Cassandra - a feisty female that often falls foul of cheese on toast and the Bournville chef's Friday fish 'n' chips.

Dr. Ed  Pooley - a strong man with a stethoscope but a demon for a double whopper.

Immy - a single Mum with a penchant for binging on chocolate and other delectables.

Josie - a technical wonder woman with a weakness for champagne cocktails.

Amy - a community champion on a mission to slay her sugar fiend.

Suki - a sassy lass that likes a glass of red with a spread of Gourmet cheeses.

Angela - a Lark Hill Locksmith looking to lighten her load.

Dannielle - a superstar PSA spurning the spuds for slimming splendour.

Mandy - a serial dieter that's up for anything!

Ryan - a gentle giant of a gym instructor wanting to lean out after an injury.

Jennifer - a fiery Welsh dragon that's lost without her rarebit.

Lynda - a Longbridge lovely wanting to lose a few pounds.

Colin - a Lovat Fields Locksmith trading titbits for a triathlon and getting back on the weight loss rollercoaster after 6 months fattening up ready for winter.

Nikki - Trying to lose the baby weight... 6 years on!

For some folk, losing weight can be a real challenge, so please... if you too feel the allure of an apple slice or the beguiling call of a Bakewell tart, then take pity upon us, and press the donate button to cheer our hungry souls up.

You'll see our team fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help us smash this goal.

Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails.
