Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. On 22 April 2018 I will be running the London Marathon for Team YMCA and I am hoping to raise as much money as possible to transform the lives of vulnerable young people.

The YMCA is the largest provider of safe, supported accommodation in England & Wales, supporting 18,000 homeless young people with a safe place to sleep each year. YMCAs provide so much more than just a bed. Young residents are offered security, emotional support and practical help to get their lives back on track. Through its work, the YMCA is helping to turn around lives of so many vulnerable and disadvantaged young people and providing them with the hope of a better future, which is why I have decided to fundraise for them.

As a teacher, I have spent my career working with young adults and it is especially important to me to support those who are vulnerable and less advantaged, particularly within my local area, where the YMCA Humber is based.

Running the marathon will be a real test of determination and stamina for me, not only in competing in it, but also in raising the sponsorship money so I kindly ask that you help me out :-)
