Amos Trust Palestine Home rebuild 2015 · 7 April 2015 to 18 April 2015 ·

Amos Trust is a small, creative human rights charity that challenges injustice, builds involvement and creates change. We work with vibrant grassroots partners for justice and hope for the forgotten. Our partners are based in Palestine & Israel, India, Nicaragua, South Africa, Burundi & beyond.

Story

In April 2015 Max and I are joining a team of volunteers from Amos Trust travelling to Palestine to help a local family and community rebuild a demolished home. We are taking part in this project to highlight the injustice of Palestinian homes being demolished by the Israeli authorities and as an act of support and solidarity for Palestinians working non-violently for a just peace. We will help a family return to their home and live and work alongside a local community.

The cost of the home rebuild is £25,000.  Max and I need to raise a minimum of £2000 towards this.  To give you an idea:
– £5 will pay for 20 concrete blocks – we need 10,000 blocks

– £10 will pay for a bag of cement – we need 150 bags

– £60 will pay for the toilet

– £130 will pay for a water tank

As a team of volunteers we need to raise enough money to cover all the costs of rebuilding the home so any support you can give is very gratefully received. THANK YOU!!
