Story

Thank you for checking out my JustGiving page.

On Sunday 18th September I will be taking part in an event that, so far, I have only ever watched from the finishing line... the Great North Run.  Technically, I will just been running home from Newcastle but I don't think it will feel as simple as that.

I'm following in my big brother's footsteps last year and running for CAFOD, the official overseas development and relief agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales.  CAFOD works in the developing world to provide communities with education, healthcare, homes and water.  They need donations now more than ever.

If you feel you can help in any small way, please do so.  I, and CAFOD, will be very grateful.  And I promise to let you know how I get on...

Thank you very much.

This is the blurb from JustGiving:  Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to CAFOD and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

CAFOD works with local partners and communities across the world - responding to emergencies, promoting long-term development and raising public awareness of the causes of poverty. We work with people of all faiths and none for a safe, sustainable and peaceful world.
