He’s climbing Mt Everest. We’re doing a triathlon. And it’s all for this one special Hospital helping Nepal’s poorest and most vulnerable people.
Nepali Mountaineer and adventurer, Vishu Sijali, is attempting to summit Mt Everest in April to raise desperately needed funds for Nepal’s Green Pastures Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre to continue its life-changing work with poor and marginalised Nepalis living with leprosy and disability. But he’s not doing it alone. A team of international staff (that's us!) from the hospital’s non-government-organisation will also be competing in the Himalayan Rush Triathlon at the same time for the same cause.
So here it is! Our latest challenge. Declan will, of course, be completing the full triathlon (1.5km swim, 40km ride and 10km run) and Catherine will be attempting the slightly more sensible Duathlon (40km ride and 10km run). Both will be challenging as we tackle the mountainous terrain that is Nepal. Yes it will be tough but we are excited to be partnering with Vishu and our friends from INF to support the amazing work that is done in Green Pastures Hospital. Declan currently works for the physiotherapy department of this hospital supporting the needs of both Nepalis and expatriates and sees the vital work happening there each day.
We'd love you to support the work of this incredible hospital that is truly giving care to Nepalis who would otherwise have no options.
Thank you for your support!
