I have taken on many challenges, in my life, all to raise funds for Military charities as well as, to keep promises I have made to several physically injured soldiers and marines. I have completed half marathons, full marathons, my first marathon at 51. I cycled from Edinburgh to London over five days 500 miles, at 55, climbed Ben Nevis at 56 and at nearly 60 I have signed up for this challenge, which under normal circumstances would be a breeze....... Unfortunately for me this time I will have to dig deep as I have not been out cycling with the club for nearly two years. I have no excuse except to say I am always busy. Why am I busy? because I organise events and raise funds for those who serve and have served our country and their families, as well as help in anyway I can. Those of you who know me, will know this is my passion, my life.

Those who serve our country, do so with great courage, they may not think so, as often I hear " I was only doing my job" I believe our servicemen and women, were and in some cases have sacrificed much in our country's name, I also believe they have earned the right to our help. Friends, many of you have been very kind to me over the years, supporting the events that I organise and sponsoring my many challenges, please sponsor me one more time and doing so know that not only are you supporting our military, veterans and their families, you are also encouraging this old grandma to get back on her bike and enjoy the company of Deeside Thistle Cycling Club..................Wait for Me!
