I have decided to raise money for 4Louis, a very deserving charity dedicated to supporting parents who suffer the trauma of a stillbirth or neonatal death. Most of you will know me; I am a midwife working at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. Southmead is a busy unit with over 6500 babies being born a year. Most of which grow up happy and healthy. 4Louis is a beautiful, family run charity who help us support our families who do suffer a devastating loss. They make our jobs much easier by providing wonderful memory boxes where we try to capture memories for bereaved parents. These boxes include inkliess wipes to take hand and footprints and an impression set, a curl box for a lock of hair and an SD card to capture precious photos and an acknowledgement of life certificate. They have also recently donated a new camera and printer to improve the quality of photos we can give to parents.

I really appreciate how they make our lives slightly easier and allow us to be able to create these memories for families. I feel the support they give families also supports us and would love to give something back so they can continue to do such a great job.
