Virgin Money London Marathon 2021

London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·
So London Marathon April 2020 didn't happen, they rescheduled to October 2020 but then that didn't happen the way it was planned either. So now the plan is October 2021. SO here we go again making plans to fundraise for a charity close to my heart, Hospice Care UK! Our local hospice was a tremendous support for my mum whilst living with her terminal illness for five years.
My mum was an incredibly giving person, she loved to help people and I know she would be smiling to see money raised in her honour for such a good cause. Any donation you can give now to get me started and help reach my target will be greatly appreciated. Our local hospice supported mum all round, providing advice, care and helping her to build friendships. My mum was a crafty person and our local hospice provided regular craft sessions which were of great value and support for her. Fundraising like this is a big part of the hospices income and is very important to the ongoing support they provide to people facing terminal illnesses.
Hospice UK is the national charity for hospice and palliative care. The money from your donations will help support hospices throughout the country to deliver the highest quality of care (physical, emotional and social support) to people with life-limiting or terminal conditions as well as supporting their families. Young and old, irrespective of faith, ethnicity and gender, hospices are there for them. I am very grateful for this fantastic opportunity to give back and support this wonderful charity!
This is an incredible cause that touches most of us throughout our lives, please do dig deep and donate, it really will make a world of difference!

Whilst I support our local hospice (St Margaret's Hospice) I would like to point out that I am raising money for the Hospice UK. St Margaret’s is a member of Hospice UK along with around 220 other hospices in the UK.
The money you donate will be going towards Hospice UK’s national body of work which will enable them to continue to support the breadth, dynamism and flexibility of more than 200 hospices across the UK who care for over 200,000 adults and children a year. It will also enable them to continue to provide healthcare professionals with the skills and expertise to deliver care in any setting and improve the quality of all palliative and end of life care.
