Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My brother Sonny (John) died suddenly and tragically on 9th July 2017, leaving all his family and friends devastated. Sonny was a huge character, full of fun and laughter and we miss him more each day.

We have been doing various fundraising events to raise money for Community defibrillators in his memory to help others.

On Friday 23rd February 2018, I will be getting my head shaved in the Willowbank on Smithdown rd to raise additional vital funds for ths worth cause.

Please give as generously as you can to this worthy cause.

About the charity

The Community Heartbeat Trust helps communities undertake defibrillator projects taking into account the needs for the right equipment, the right support, the right adherence to liabilities and governance, community awareness and training programmes, and help with the fund raising and long term support for these projects. As the leading community defibrillator charity in the UK, we have become recognised by ambulance services, councils, community groups and sports governing bodies as the 'gold standard', having set many of the standards now being adopted by other organisations. We live, breath and are hugely passionate about community defibrillation in all its forms, and seek always to offer a holistic and objective advice to communities. We believe a defibrillator is for LIFE and not just for Christmas, and these medical devices should be available to save lives. But they are just that, a medical device, and must be treated with respect. A good project is not about just a defibrillator in the community, but one that forms part of a resilient process, addressing needs, and fully backed by Governance. www.communityheartbeat.org.uk
